Small Supplier Participation

Small suppliers (with less than $500,000 in annual revenue) representing the breadth of travel and tourism are invited to attend the Power of Partnership Stewardship Summit.

For general registration, small suppliers can enjoy the full Summit program for $295, which includes:

• Participation in all education sessions
• Access to the Multicultural Marketplace
• Networking opportunities on the show floor and during hosted receptions
• Opportunity to immerse in Richmond through our Experience Day

Small, diverse suppliers may also choose to exhibit in the Multicultural Marketplace as part of their registration fee, which also includes access to pre-conference education seminars and masterclasses. Eligible suppliers are either:

• BIPOC owned or led
• Classified as a local tour and/or transportation operators, a local attraction, a local restaurant and/or other travel-related business
• Represent a diverse product offering or cater to a diverse audience (including LGBTQ+, accessibility, environmental issues, climate justice) – or -
• Mission-based, non-profits, B-Corps, or social enterprises

Small suppliers may indicate on their registration if they are interested in exhibiting as part of their attendance. 

The planning team for the Power of Partnership Stewardship Summit (POPS) is committed to ensuring access to equitable opportunities for small BIPOC and other underrepresented suppliers to participate in the Summit. We want to ensure that barriers to participate are

removed.

Through our Small Supplier Grant Program, eligible BIPOC and other underrepresented tour operators and attractions can receive a $1,000 grant to cover four nights hotel accommodations at a Summit host hotel and full Summit registration. Grant funds are not distributed directly to Suppliers. Supplier criteria for grant eligibility includes:

• Less than $250,000 annual revenue in 2022;
• Less than three full-time employees;
• Business in operation for at least two (2 years) and is currently active in the marketplace;
• Business owner identifies as Black, indigenous or person of color (BIPOC) and other underrepresented suppliers, or business is 51% owned by an owner that identifies at BIPOC;
• Business may or may not be a member/partner of its local DMO/CVB;
• Business owner or company representative can attend Summit and participate in the full schedule from Monday-Wednesday (Oct. 16-18);
• Supplier agrees to participate in a mandatory Pre-Summit Travel Trade Readiness Workshops in September; and a Working with Travel Trade Masterclass during the Summit; and
• Supplier agrees to confirm participation by submitting airline ticket receipt to aariel@powerofpartnershipsummit.com no later than September 30th!
